Why I do this work

I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing space for emotional healing and growth.

As a qualified Therapeutic Play Practitioner through Play Therapy International and a Parent Coach, I specialise in helping families navigate challenges with confidence and connection.

My training includes Integrative Holistic Play Therapy using a non-directive and directive approach, Gestalt Play Therapy and Jungian Sandplay Therapy (through AST). These allow me to support children in expressing emotions, processing experiences and building resilience through creative, play-based approaches.

With a background in education and expertise in learning difficulties, I also guide parents in understanding their child's unique needs and development.

At Play & Wellness, my goal is to empower children and families through play, emotional connection and therapeutic support.

How I work

Connection before correction

Behaviour is usually a message. I help parents and teachers look underneath it before deciding what to do.

The child leads

Sessions are mostly non-directive. Children choose how they play, and I bring in gentler directive activities when they need more support.

Parents are part of it

You know your child best. We meet regularly so that what happens in the playroom also helps at home.

Confidentiality and safeguarding

What your child shares in sessions stays private. I share themes and progress with you, but not word for word. If I'm ever worried about a child's safety, I will always act on it.

Children are never identified in stories, photos or testimonials without written consent.

Play therapy and coaching are not a diagnosis or an assessment. Where it would help, Bronwen will suggest a referral to an educational psychologist, occupational therapist or paediatrician.

"Toys are used like words by children and play is their language."

Not sure where to start?

Most families begin with a parent consultation. We talk it through and decide together what would help.
